Ahh… taking the Christmas picture.

Last year I decided I would do those really pretty “picture cards” for our family Christmas cards. Being the busy, procrastinating, penny pincher that ‘sometimes’ I can be… I was going to take the photo myself.
There I was 2 kids in pretty holiday sweaters, Christmas tree with all the trimmings. “Jason” I yelled to my husband, “get the fire place going”. Oh, did I forget to mention, one little dog in a sweater (I was talked into that, by my daughter… I’m not much on dogs and people clothes, though little Bailey really was cute.) Then add one large dog, our ‘golden’ Ally, who I was convinced needed to wear a “Santa Hat”.
I would get them lined up and with every “click” of the camera… someone “looked away”, “dropped a hat”, “closed their eyes”, “scratched” or “licked something private”!!!
I didn’t think I would ever get a perfect picture of all of my kids (furry and not), but others sent theirs to me.
I had often opened the mail box and pulled out “the perfect family”. Maybe it was just my dysfunctional brew? Maybe it was my lack of photography skills?

This year, I received a beautiful e-mail from a lady who runs a Pomeranian Rescue in Drayton, SC and she shared her battle with trying to get “The Perfect Holiday Picture”.
Please enjoy… I know I did, but doesn’t every one enjoy not being the only one with troubles?
