Another week begins…

What a busy day… Jack and I just went out and taped a Carolina Cooks’ segment for the show. We filmed it at VINO 100 in the Five Forks area of Simpsonville, SC. We also met a great new personal chef; Belinda Thorpe (fixes THE BEST Lemon Panna Cotta!!!)
I had a great weekend, what beautiful weather we are having! My husband and I had dinner at Rick Erwins in downtown Greenville… and yes, I did go and see Bobby McFerrin at the Peace Center… AMAZING! It was like seeing an orchestra, only there were NO instruments. 12 voices and Bobby all together, and you would have sworn ( but you’d have been wrong ) that there were drums and horns and symbols… no, just God given talent. Here’s your “behind the scene” of Your Carolina. People were asking me, “what was Bobby really like?” Well, to begin with he walked into Michelin on Main caring a Bible. He was tremendously humble and gracious… soft spoken and quite. Except, he did quietly under his breathe mimic noises that would go off in the room like the door chime at Michelin… he constantly had ‘notes’ and noises coming out… I think he is what a true genius is like. I get the feeling it never shuts off in his head.… no wonder he has 10 grammys!
I know you may still be working on the last book I suggested, “The pleasure was mine”, but when your done with that one… here is the next, “Beautiful Boy”. It’s not a local author, but I found it in the Starbucks next to Michelin on Main. (you can get it anywhere)… we’ll talk more about that later.
I had a weekend full of Soccer (2 kids playing) There is a soccer complex on the edge of Greenville and Greer called, MESA… I have never seen so many fields and people… from space it must look like a giant ant hill bustling with little ants (and soccer balls, ha!) I think we should look for the areas’ best “Soccer Mom” (or dad), there sure where a lot of them there Saturday!
