Christmas Music—-Too Early
By Jack Roper

I usually complain when I hear Christmas music on the radio too early in the season. I heard what was called a “Christmas Music Preview Weekend” on the radio this weekend. I caught it while I was driving Saturday night. I really did enjoy it. I really got in the spirit. I think we Americans all need a little extra Spirit this Christmas. Go ahead and play the music early. I have changed my mind. As I got closer to the house, listening to the music, I saw a older lady walking real slow, pulling her coat tighter against her chest. I then remembered why I also get a little down during the holidays. I know I have more than I deserve. More than so many folks. That bothers me. We should all try to do somethings for those less fortunate. Look outside your family this Christmas. There’s so much need out there. Happy Holidays,Jack

OOPS Sincerly,
I really enjoy Christmas music—the good kind. Nowadays some want to demean the good songs, even to the point of being obscene or not in good taste. The internet (as I have heard) has really abused some old time loved songs of our childhood. And REMEMBER JESUS IS THE REASON
FOR THE SEASON!
MERRY CHRISTMAS—and let the music continue!
I agree that they are playing Christmas music way too early!! I love to hear them about 2 weeks before Christmas..or at least mix them up with other sounds. I work in a restaurant and have heard each Christmas song at least 4 times a day. Takes all the fun out of the music if you get so tired of it!
I do REMEMBER TTHAT JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON and feel that by playing Christmas music so early the stations are making it way too commercial!
Have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year!

Dear Jack,
I love watching you and Kimberly in the morning, you both are very uplifting and are a wonderful asset to the community. Christmas music well yes I thought the same thing about it being too early but.. Times are really tough this year for everyone. But is also an awakening to everyone that we all must go back and realize what Christmas really means..This is also a time when I believe that families will become even closer to each other than ever..Although my spirit has been down this year,I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing the music earlier for a change…Has made me realize like so many others we can only do what we can do…Thank you Jack and Kimberly for making a difference in so many lives.. May God bless you and wishing you both a wonderful holiday season…
Sinserly,
