Harnessing the Sun in Greenville…

How many of us have often wished that we did not have a powerbill.
Can you imagine the freedom of at least drastically cutting the bill?
I know the whole insolate, turn off the lights, set your water heater at…etc…
And I’m NOT slighting those genuinely good recommendations.
But going solar, now that would be not just a step, but a sprint in the right direction!
The other day we had a gentleman on the show from Sun Store Solar (http://www.sunstoresolar.com/)
He has helped with the HGTV Green home (Hilton Head home give-a-way, that I did not win!) and more recently, The Cliff’s Cottage at Furman, A green- sustainable home that you can tour and learn from. Below is a link to the home, (this is where the ‘PBS’ comes out in me… nothing wrong with learning, eh?)
You can click on to different parts of the house and learn how they did each thing. It’s VERY INTERESTING. I think they even have an organic, sustainable garden (which we all should have, ever how small or large… individual or community based.)
I hope you enjoy and let me know if you go and tour it… has anyone out there gone solar… all the way, hot water, outdoor lights???

See you on the TV!
