Home town guy hits oil!

We here at Your Carolina, think a lot of the great people who take time out of their busy schedules to appear with us each morning.
One of our more “musical friends” is South Carolina’s own, Aaron Tippin.
When Aaron was a guest of ours, this past summer, we sat and talk for about an hour before the show started: everything from Turkey hunting, to politics to the fact that unknown to both of us we grew up about a street away from one another. I guess you can’t have too many big time stars come from the same neighborhood, and better he than me… because I can’t sing like that!
If you know anything about him and his military past, you know that he is as politically opinionated as they come. I love when people are passionate about what they believe in (agree or disagree). Remember, this is the same man who wrote, “You gotta’ stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything”. You know we can refer to him as a singer all day long, but this man is one of the best writers in the business!

Surely we ALL agree we need to do everything we can to get away from being shackled to foreign oil. I think no matter the side of street you may be on when it comes to Washington… you’ll like this one. Darn it, Aaron’s done it again… written an AMAZING song!
