“...just a touch of Grey”

One of our regulars here at “The Blog” (as though this were some pub we all gather at) is D.B…
and D.B. asked me a question about beauty tips. Well, the way my mind wonders sometimes, I began thinking about how long I had died my hair. Not that it would be that different than the actual color you see it as. The same except: the highlights, lowlights and yes… I think (remember I haven’t seen this virgin hair for many years) a touch of grey. Me???
I am hoping one day to be as proud and beautiful as Emmylou Harris with her beautiful long silver locks.
I think it is so beautiful when a woman (or a man) can pull off wearing their natural silver hair… let’s be honest, not every one has that Emmylou Harris or Jack Roper head of ‘true’ silver.
You know… something that if it were bottled, would read “Alpine White” or “Aspen Silver”.
Somehow, I don’t think people would buy into, “Mousey Grey”; maybe the whole rodent thing would turn them off.
For now, I will continue to be the coward who covers what she doesn’t even know for sure she has yet. One day, when I have completely mastered the guitar that Jack is helping me find… I will let it all go, ‘mountain peak white’ or ‘gerbil grey’… just be sure and drop a quarter in the hat when I’ve retired to my beatnik ways.
In the mean time… see you around town,
Kimberly
