My Mother’s Day…

This morning, I woke to breakfast is bed.  My breakfast tray, was an old baking sheet…
and it held on it, a bowl of cereal (no milk) 2 pieces of plain bread (un-toasted) and a jar of apple jelly.
All delivered by a six year old little boy, smiling at me with his 2 front teeth missing.
Now, if that isn’t the best Mother’s Day present, I don’t know what is.
Of course, that is not to disparage my older daughter and her present… another breakfast.
This time a little fancier tray. Fresh fruit, fried egg, toast and coffee.

It was a “FULL” Mother’s day for me… how was yours?

Had a wonderful Mother’s Day!! Woke up to sweet kisses from my 3 yeard old and loving husband. My husband normally doesn’t boil water but made me a egg and cheese sandiwich. My daughter brought me the handmade card that she and Daddy had made out.. It is so sweet, told me about being a wonderful mother and wife and mu daughter had colored all over it, the back of the card was the cutest!! They had made their own logo that had a big heart with a box in the middle of it which read A publication From The Heart Cards.. lol that that was funny and cute they had came up with their own logo, like Amercian Greetings, Hallmark etc.. :)

That has to be THE sweetest thing I have EVER heard!!!
My Mother’s day was bitter sweet… You see, I lost my Mom a year ago Feb., so, the 1st Mother’s day wothout her, I was still basically in shock… But this Mother’s day, it really hit me hard… I normally would have spent it with her, or if I couldn’t make it to Maine, I would send Easter Lillies and Black-Eyed Susans.  (Her favorite flowers)
But, my step-daughter called and left a message. (I was in no mood to answer the phone)She wished me a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’, with her 5 y/o son and 17 y/o daughter in the background screaming ‘HI, GRAMMA!!!’
It made me cry all the harder!

My only child (teen)Hannah surprised me with movie tix for Mother’s Day afternoon. Going to movies was always a special thing for us when she was growing up. With age comes little time for mother now and movies tend to be with friends, instead. She could have not given me anything better…..

Do you like your Beija Flor jeans? Do they have stretch?  Sometimes stretch jeans get baggy so wanted to see how Beija’s are.
