Now that I can breathe…

If you haven’t heard, I had an allergic reaction to a flu shot… which sent me to the ER for several hours. My air ways began to contract and I’ll not lie, I began to panic, when all of a sudden breathing came into question. You know “breathing” is one of those things that we just ‘take for granted’. I am on steroids and hopefully will be off, before I develop a full beard!
By the way, I always lean to the “natural way” of combating illnesses, it’s just a choice that I have made. (Though clearly not yesterday!) There are MANY, many people who swear by the flu shot and get one every year with out incident. Statistically speaking, I should have bought a lottery ticket instead of buying that shot… Oh, well.
So… IF for some strange reason you take the shot and have the same luck as me… YOU DO NEED TO REPORT IT… here is the link:

Kim, I am glad you are ok and pray thatyou never have that happen again. The flu shot my week this week,so I have got to watch you all a lot,(when I am awake LOL) God bless you and Jack , and your families
Thank you Jesse!
You know, last year was the first year I ever took one and I had NO reaction then. Of course they change them every year…

Do you have an egg allergy? My daughter has multiple food allergies, including egg, and is not able to take the flu sot because it is grown in eggs. anyone with an egg allergy should be warned that neither the flu shot nor the flu mist is safe. Anaphalaxis is a terrifying and deadly event and I wish more people were aware of what you experienced and how quickly it can happen to anyone.
Thanks for sharing your story.
