Any ideas on treating migraines. I’m looking at my wife Mary in bed with a cold washrag on her little redhead. She’s into her third week with on and off migraines. We spent Sun. night in the ER getting a shot. That helped for 24 hours. Any sucess stories with certain meds? I’d love to hear from you.

I get migraines occassionally and went through about a week of off and on migraines a couple months ago. I normally take Excedrine Migraine, which usually helps a lot, but even that wasn’t doing anything, so I decided to try Advil Migraine and it really helped. I also use a heated pillow that you can warm up in the microwave and put under your neck. You should be able to find these at drug stores or Wal-Mart, etc. Hope this helps!

Hi Jack,

I replied to this earlier..but didnt go through for some reason.

When I get a migraine I’m outta commission. I found by accident that “Bio-freeze” a gel that I get from my chiropractor; works when I applied it to my forehead, temples and neck. I bought it for a sore knee but in desperation using it on my head lol, found that It soothed my headache. Of course I still took the pain meds. I applied it about every 30 min. or so untill it eased off. I don’t know why it works on my headache but it does.

If she tries it let me know if it helped.
