“Roger, roger… good buddy”

It’s a serious one today, bare with me…
I would like to offer my most sincere sympathy to the Elrod family,
you see we here at Your Carolina had a very silent, loyal viewer named Roger.
Roger would smile and timidly tell me he saw the show and liked it, each day that I would stop and get gas, at Elrod’s Exxon in Easley.
Roger even used his days off to come by the show sometimes… and as always, stand ‘quitely’ in the back and watch.
Later, to walk up and simply wave his hand with a quick and quite, “Good show!” Roger was in a very bad motorcycle accident a few weeks ago
and I have been in contact with family as to his condition. I am heart broken to say that I just received word, Roger has passed away. I write this not to bring you down,
but as a thank you to him… and to all of you who let us enter your living rooms and work places each day and make us a part of your family.
I also, write this to remind you to say a kind word to those you love each day. Of course, I would be remiss, if not also adding:
“Be careful on the roadways… careful of yourself and others!
