WEEK Two: An up-date to my “Healthy Lifestyle” resolution…

image hey, that picture got your attention, eh?
It was a busy week, both at work and home, and I don’t want to be too arrogant, but… My son and husband both caught that head and chest cold going around; while I have managed to dodge it! Is it my healthy, new diet??? Well, I’m sure it didn’t hurt. My son’s was caught in time to use natural medicines and he is over his. My husband, was not so lucky and it’s taken a bit longer. By the way, has anybody used the “Netty Pot” ? If you don’t know what I’m referring to, it’s a small tea pitcher looking piece of pottery that you use to clean the sinuses. I know, looks frightening doesn’t it! I bought one for my husband and he loves it… I on the other hand am still mustering up the guts to try it. It’s a natural remedy that is rather “IN” right now.
Aside from battling illness, my diet has stayed in check pretty good. I have managed to keep “junk food” out of the house and eating out… well, you just have to watch where you go. Jack and I took a viewer to lunch Friday at Saffron’s (in DT Greenvile, SC). They had some easy choices… VERY fresh, healthy menu options!!! That helped and I had the “Emporium” wrap… delicious.
I want you to know that coming up on the 22nd of January, Phil and Amy Parham will begin their NEW segment on Your Carolina, called: “Real Life Renovation”. They were the couple (on another network) that lost Oh, so much weight and gained even more knowledge in how to CHANGE the way you live with food and exercise. Tune in, you’ll love these guys and if you have any questions, send them on in to us.
I hope your week has a good start… it is a fresh start for our Country this week as well. God bless,
-kimberly

Hi

While I have not tried the Nettie Pot yet, I have heard of it. I almost bought one last fall—- but chickened out.  I’m not sure I could handle pouring something IN-to my nose!!! Exit only—-lol
I have hard enough time with nose spray. Yuck! However, if I was sick enough and sinus congested…I might break down and give it a try.

Sinus Rinse, as we call it in our house, are a regular routine in our home.  Even our 3 year did one this morning!  You should have seen the “green trash” coming out of his nose.  It is a great preventative technique to add to your routine.  He isn’t even sick, but woke up stuffy.  I believe a Sinus Rinse possibly prevented a sinus infection and even a cold.  Our 5 and 6 year old know how to do them by themselves!
Yes, it’s gross…but it works!

I have recently opend a health store in Greenville. We are called Natural Health Alternatives, and are located at 500 Mills Avenue. We have the netti pots and have had HUGE results with them. We can help folks overcome the fears.  We also have the ear candles which help remove excess wax which is a real problem especially during the cold and flu season…Our phone number is 283-6392 if you have other needs.

Thank youl,  be blessed!!!

Kimberly, this is such a great way to share good healthy info!  I find that doing the netti pot in the shower helps with the awkwardness of leaning over the sink.  You are already wet and it fits nicely on my shower rack.
