Holiday Seasoning Three Ways

Base for Seasoning:

3 Tablespoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

For Tuscan Seasoning Blend, add these ingredients to Seasoning Base:

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

For Caribbean Seasoning Blend, add these ingredients to Seasoning Base:

1 teaspoon fresh lime zest

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground coriander

For Sweet & Spicy Seasoning Blend, add these ingredients to Seasoning Base:

2 Tablespoons light brown sugar

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon ground ancho chile pepper

Instructions

Combine base ingredients in a medium bowl.  For seasoning flavor desired, add remaining ingredients to base and stir well.

Each seasoning blend recipe makes enough to season 1 @ 12-24 lb. turkey (rub turkey with 1-2 Tablespoons vegetable oil and sprinkle/rub seasoning over turkey).  These blends are also great mixed in with ground beef or chicken (1 teaspoon per lb.), or sprinkled atop fresh steamed or grilled veggies or seafood!

Recipes may be doubled or tripled and packaged to give as gifts for the holidays.
