The Supper Swap Girls

Ingredients

8 ounces of heavy whipping cream, room temperature
1 mason jar
1 cup of cold water
Salt, if desired
Strong biceps

Instructions

Place the unopened container of heavy cream on the counter for 24 hours.
Open the cream and pour into the mason jar.  Make sure the lid is really secure and then shake for 2-3 minutes or until large butter ball forms.

Open the lid and pour the liquid (this is the buttermilk) into a glass.
Take another glass of cold water and pour it over the butter just to cover.
Pour this liquid out and discard.

Dump the butter into a dish and season with a sprinkle of kosher salt if desired. Spread on some bread and enjoy!!
