COMMUNITY PET EDUCATION FAIR

Animal Welfare of Laurens County is holding its First Annual “Community Pet Education Fair”
Date: Saturday, May 1, 2010
Time: 10:00 am until 4:00 pm
Location: Laurens Jr. High School, 1035 W Main St. in Laurens
Purpose: to aid in educating the public at large about responsible pet ownership through veterinary care, training, and socialization.
Summary: Participating in our event will be: Carolina Bassett Hound Rescue, Greyhound Crossroads, 4PetSake Rescue, Mighty Ferret Rescue, 3 Perfect Dogs Treats & Collars, Concerned Citizens for Animals, Laurens Co. Sheriff’s Office including “McGruff The Crime Dog”, “Safety Pup” and the “D.A.R.E. Lion”, Pawsitive Effects Dog Training, Palmetto Equestrian Therapeutic Riding Program, Laurens Co. Chamber of Commerce, Walgreens and “Vet Gone Mobile” Dr. David Hardy. Backyard Smokers will be selling BBQ and hot dogs and we will also have a cotton candy vendor. There will also be games and live demonstrations throughout the day.
