Meet the Carolina Panther’s.
Training Camp starts this Saturday at Wofford. Here’s a list of events.
Training Camp July 28 - Aug 15, 2012, Wofford College.
Kick Off Party:The “MUST DO” for Panthers fans this year is the “Back to Football Kickoff Party” on Saturday July 28th. The event will be held at Gibbs Stadium on the Wofford College campus.
• It’s free and open to the public and features fun activities for the entire family.
This is the only scheduled practice in Gibbs Stadium, which will provide a high-energy setting for opening night.
Kick Off Party
Timeline:4:30 pm - 6:30 pm Kick Off Party on Gibbs Stadium Plaza
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Panthers practice/ Gibbs Stadium
8:30 pm - 9:30 pm Kick Off Party continues after practice
Mayors Ball Run: One of the highlights of opening night will be the 2nd annual Mayors Ball Run in which a ceremonial ball will be run relay style from Spartanburg City Hall to Gibbs Stadium. Al l13 Spartanburg County towns are participating in the run - either by the mayors themselves or by mayoral appointees. The final leg will be run by a student from the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind. Once the ball has been delivered, Spartanburg Mayor Junie White will issue a proclamation proclaiming training camp is officially open.
